How do i put videos form my panasonic camcorder from my computer? Do I Need To Install A Disc? Can I Use DivX?

Can Someone Explain And Help Me Through This? I Would Like To Add Videos On Youtube.

My Camcorder is Panasonic. Its Models Are PV-GS9,
PV-GS12, PV-GS14, & PV-GS15

1. If You Have Video Software On Your Computer You Can Just Hook It Up Via The iLink Port (FireWire IEEE 1394) It Probably Won't Work With USB Or The Video Ports.

2. First you will have to determine if you have DV Port and USB Port. USB port is used for downloading Picture. DV Port is for Video(film). DV Port is most likely 4 pin.

You will need firewire cable. 4pin cable goes to camcorder and 6 pin goes to computer.

You will also need firewire card, maybe your computer has it already check. Firewire card is inserted in PCI slot of motherboard. you will plug firewire cable into this firewire card. Maybe firewire card has 4 pin plug., then both end of firewire cable will 4 pin's.

In XP go into Device manager and see if it has dectected Firewire card. (IEEE1394) On your computer.

3. Well you only have ONE of those cameras - that looks like the list from the instruction manual which covers all those 4 models - look on the lable on your camcorder for the one model which you have.
