how can i download the videos off my Panasonic camcorder on to my computer?

i dont the the cd still to download the software, but is there still a way somehow?

1. You will need a card that accepts video and audio inputs and software that will create an .avi (or similar) file.

If your machine already has these, and you need software drivers, then go to the manufacturer of the computer or card and download them.

2. Use a Firewire 400 cabe to connect your cam to your PC, then open up *your favorite* NLE and hit "Log &Capture"

NLE= Non-Linear Editor

Such as Final Cut Express, Avid FreeDV, Adobe Premiere

It may say import instead of log and capture, but anyway you do it, you'll need to connect your camcorder with Firewire 400, USB WILL NOT work!
