How do i succesfully add a video with audio from my panasonic camcorder to the computer?

i got the video, but there is no sound
but on the camcorder there is sound

I will guess it is one of the standard definition hard drive or flash (or hybrid) units that captures .mod files.

Download and install StreamClip.

and convert the clips to wmv or avi for Microsoft MovieMaker or mov or MP4 for Apple iMovie. When the conversion is done, quit StreamClip, launch your video editor and drag the converted clips to the Collections or Log/Capture area - or directly to the timeline.
