i didnt want an expensive camera but i wanted a good one, i did some research and im thinking about getting this one

does anyone know from experience if it is a good camera, if not does anyone have a better one for a similar price no higher than $199...

It royally rocks! Your going to want at least 1 Gig memory card to store a lot of pictures. I opted for the 2 Gig for a tad more. Panasonic rocks. I bought mine at a local camera store. Good luck shopping. Remember to shop around.
