Which camcorders do you recommend for a first time buyer?

Hi, I need a camcorder for my sister's wedding to film every bit of the happiest day of her life for her, but I'm really stuck on which camcorder to buy. Well we would need something that's better and highest quality and things like that, we thought about Sony, Samsung and Panasonic are they any good especially the HD ones?

1. Canon HV40 and a tripod. Do not capture handheld. Ad a couple of high capacity rechargeable batteries (while one is charging the other is in use). When a digital tape fills after 60 minutes, take it out, mark it, lock it and put in another, resume shooting.

No hard drive, no AVCHD.

If you MUST use something other than digital tape, then one from the Canon HF S series. Get lots of memory cards.
