Are Mini DVD camcorders Good for filming skateboarders, and Easy to Edit?

im planning on buying the Panasonic Palmcorder VDR-D230 MiniDVD Camcorder. and buying a 37mm fisheye. i was wondering if this Camera Would be a good choice of camcorder for fliming some skateboarding and if the clips filmed would be easy to edit.

MiniDV tape or flash memory.

Consumer HDD cams will have issues with the jarring and vibration and may stop capturing video. DVD camcorders barely make useful doorstops.
