Best camcorders compatible with Mac?
I'm looking for a camcorder compatible with Mac; the only one advantage I can think is the ability to use iMovies to edit your clips from the camcorder. Are there any other advantages aside from this? Also, many have recommended hard-drive camcorders due to its storage capacity, but others argue that MiniDV camcorders produce much better quality?
I am eyeing two camcorders: Panasonic SDR-H18 (http://reviews.cnet.com/digital-camcorders/panasonic-sdr-h18/4505-6500_7-32343416.html?ar=o&tag=pdtl-list) and Sony Handycam HDR-SR7 (http://reviews.cnet.com/digital-camcorders/sony-handycam-hdr-sr7/4505-6500_7-32427828.html?ar=o&tag=pdtl-list).
I guess being able to edit video clips isn't that important to me, but I'd like my clips to be compatible to Mac to prevent more troubles in the future. I like the idea of getting a hard-drive since the storage capacity would be much bigger while at the same time, I would not want to compromise video quality. What advice would you give?
Thanks!

2. Get the Canon HV20. It shoots 24p. Check out camcorderinfo.com.....
3. For now I'd stay away from HDD type of camcorder as iMovie doesn't support the video format that they record onto. You can't go wrong with either a Sony or Canon that uses Mini DV tapes in DV or HDV. They are simple to import and edit in iMovie. Plus the don't cost all that much and when you have filled up a tape all you have to do is insert another and keep on recording, whereas using a hard disk you will need to offload to a PC first. Mini DV does produce a better video quality than HDD and DVD type of camcorders. If you happen to iomport the footage and edit, then burn to a DVD the video quality will degrade even more.
