Panasonic digital camera won't import to pc?

I don't know why, but when I went to import a video onto my PC, it would connect, but then just sit there and nothing would happen. I've imported things before (including videos), and it would always work. I don't know why it's suddenly doing this. And the video's not in the files or anything, so I know it's not working. I'm not very computer savvy so I don't really understand why this is going on. Can anyone help? Thanks, it's appreciated.

1. Ok... what software are you using to download your images?

If you have no luck. go to your nearest camera specialty store and purchase a USB memory card reader.

Plug the card reader into your computer. Turn your camera off. Take the memory card out of the camera and put it into the card reader.

Use Windows Explorer(My Computer) to view the files on your memory card (it will show up as a removable disk drive).

You can copy and paste the files from your card into a folder on your computer.

If you're not keen on the card reader idea, try reading the instruction manual for your camera.
