What do you think is the better camcorder panasonic or sony?

They are dvd camcorders the difference is the panasonic has a feature where you can erase and edit the dvd.Im new to dvd camcorders and im having a hard time making a decision....please help.

1. I would definately choose sony. I have two sonys now and i love them.
I like the sony better i guess because of the quality.

2. Please don't waste your time with a DVD based camcorder... Flash memory or miniDV tape... if you *must* then hard drive... but please NOT DVD.

If you go with DVD anyway, just flip a coin - they are not that different between the two companies and it is just not worth getting worked up over...
