I need some ideas of camcorders with Mic Inputs?

I am trying to find a camcorder that has a mic input on it, but can not afford $800 for the Canon HV-20. Are there any other camcorders that cost less? It does not need to be HD.

1. It is sad but most companies don't think we need a mic input on a consumer camcorder so they leave that feature out to save money. I went to Best Buy a month ago to buy a camcorder and found that only the most expensive ones had that feature.

My only suggestion would be to go to a store that has a good selection and check them for that connector. Beware that the Sony models can only use a Sony mic. They have a different connector.

To try and research this online is tedious because information about that feature is usually hard to find on any particular model.
