How to send a video from a sony camcorder to my computer?

does anyone know how to send a video to 'my computer or 'my documents' using an sony camcorder and all I have is an usb cable.I know it is possible beacuse I somehow sent a video from my camcorder to the computer before but I don't know what I did,now I want to send another video to my computer.PLZ HELP.FAST AND SIMPLE IF YOU CAN.

1. On the bottom of your Sony camcorder, there is a sticker. On the sticker is the camcorder model number. Use that model number information at the sony.com support area to download your camcorder's manual.

You did not provide enough information for us to help you... we don't know if you are using a MiniDV or Digital8 tape based camcorder or a flash memory camcorder or a DVD camcorder... and Sony makes all of them.
