1. drop it again, really hard, if that does not work, then you gotta send it in to them, or go to a repair shop

2. It would cost more to have it repaired than to buy a new one.

Welcome to the world of Japanese products.

3. Sounds like it is FUBAR

4. try sending it to the authorized service center and ask for a quote. if the quotation is about the same as the price of a brand new camera, get a new one and learn from your mistake by at least carrying the camera with the strap worn on your wrist or around your neck.

5. At least it's your camera instead of like last night... Some poor kid opened his mother's brand new digital camera package before she got home or something. He dropped it and the lens got stuck in the out position. He was asking how to fix it before she got home. You're not quite as screwed as he was, but I think this will have to be returned for services. Ask what the bench or estimate fee is before you even send it away. Consider buying a new camera instead of getting this one fixed. At least you won't have to buy a new memory card. Maybe.

6. Use your question as a search subject and try doing an internet search or just search Yahoo answers. You might be surprised to find the answer that you've been looking for -at least in the meantime while you are waiting for the right answer (or perhaps just a confirmation to the answer you've found) here...
