Are Panasonic digital cameras any good? I am looking into purchasing a Panasonic DMC-FZ8K Black 7.2 MP Digital Camera 1/2.5" CCD 2.5" 207K LCD 12X Optical Zoom 4X Digital Zoom. Looking for reviews and people who have actually owned a Panasonic. Also, the price is 289.99. To me that seems not to bad, but like I said, I am looking for people who actually know these things! I have read nothing but good reviews so far and was just going to check here to do more research! When you answer this question, could you also tell me what you use this camera for. Panasonic Digital cameras??? (DMC-LS70 lumix)? well, i just recently got a panasonic DMC-LS70 from Amazon.com and i was wondering more about it. it seems that, i can only take approx. 9 pictures on the camera without a memory card but it says that there are 27 MB. is that just on the camera without the mem. card or is it including a memory card???? i'm pretty sure that most digital cameras allow you to take more than 9 pictures even without the memory card.

Is our Panasonic digital camera ruined? We have a Panasonic digital camera, 7megapixel, and have had it about 2 years now. The past couple months we noticed all pictures we take, that once we load them on a computer or print them there is a horizontal line through it. I am looking to purchase a digital camera for an upcoming trip and consumerreports.org recommended the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX30K (Top 3 choice); it has received a lot of reviews, but according to Circuit City it has been discontinued. Their next suggestion is the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W80; which is comparable to the Panasonic, but it does not have a wide angle lens. I am leaning heavily toward the Panasonic model; but I wanted to get an opinion or two from people who might know something about these models or subcompact cameras in general. Panasonic Digital Camera DMC-LS75 wants to be turned off and on again? does anyone know a good amount about digital cameras? specifically a panasonic lumix? my camera....definitely wasnt cheap. it takes amazing pictures outside and in well lit situations. the details in pictures taken in the macro setting zoomed in on stuff really closely is nice too. But inside...i cannot get it to focus at all, and the pictures are always really grainy, and usually crappy. and the flash...is really unnecessary sometimes. can someone help me? i liked my film camera so much better. this one is just confusing.

Canon vs. panasonic digital camera? I have an canon camera now (a elph), it's a few years old and I would like to upgrade. I'm not an expert photographer but I would like to start taking some nice pictures of wildlife. For this I am looking for a camera with somewhere around 10x optical zoom. Canon has one, but I have read you have to wait around 10 seconds between taking pictures when you use the flash. I don't like that. Plus it is a little bigger than your typical small digital camera. I saw panasonic has a camera with 10x optical zoom and it is smaller. It received some really good reviews on the circuit city website. I have never heard much about a panasonic camera, are they good? Do they take good pictures? I have always had a canon and been in love with it, but they just dont seem to have a good canon camera for what I'm looking for (10x optical zoom). Can anyone give me their opinions on these types of cameras or possibly other brands of cameras that have good optical zoom capabilities? Thanks! :) I still want a smaller "point and shoot" camera. That is why I am not looking at SLR cameras. I want the best of both worlds. :)

What are the advantages and disadvantages of the Samsung WB5000 or the Panasonic FZ28 Digital Camera? I want to buy one of these two DSLRs and I am struggling to choose between them. From what I have seen, the Samsung looks nicer and the menus seem more friendly, but the Panasonic is better quality. I'm not bothered about the price difference. Panasonic digital camera won't import to pc? I don't know why, but when I went to import a video onto my PC, it would connect, but then just sit there and nothing would happen. I've imported things before (including videos), and it would always work. I don't know why it's suddenly doing this. And the video's not in the files or anything, so I know it's not working. Why do panasonic digital cameras keep on creating *.jpg files when I record movies in *.mov? Appreciate the first response but it looks like you don't have a panasonic digital camera. Here's what I did: 1. Pushed the "red-dot" button for video recording - THIS IS THE SETTING THE RECORD A MOVING VIDEO - Not a photograph. This button also automatically will start recording video. 2. About 1 minute later, I press the "red-dot" button again to stop recording the video and write the video file into the memory card. 3. I remove the SD card from the camera and plug it in to my computer. My computer detects it and lists all the *.mov and *.jpg files in the SD card. The list shows the following: *.jpg - for all the still photographs I've taken. For videos, I see two files: a *.mov file for the video, and a *.jpg file that shows the photograph for the very first frame of the *.mov. My questions are: 1. Why do Panasonic digicams have this feature? 2. Can I turn this feature off?
